The English Program at Yothinburana School was initiated by Dr.Kowit Warapipat, a former permament secretary of education and Mr.Gwang Robkob, a vice minister for education, Ministry of Educatiuon, in order to provide an alternative for parents during the economic recession. Mr. Wirat Paladej was the director at that time, followed by Mr. Wisarut Sonthichai. Both of them made outstanding contributions to boost the English Program effectiveness. Mr. Somkiat Phongjit, the present director, is continuing the efforts at his predecessors.
In 1998, the Ministry of Education conferred on Yothinburana School , its official approval to open the English Program and commissioned the School to set an example for all future English Programs.
The English Program (EP) has followed Yothinburana School 's fundamental educational curriculum to teach every subject in English, except the Thai language and subjects concerning Thai culture and law.
The school's main duty has been to provide an effective learning environment while emphasizing morality, ethics and knowledge at the same time. Moreover, the school has encouraged the students to study according to their skills and needs. The humanities of art, music, performance and various kinds of sport are promoted as well.
